Jo'burg Fashion Week - Fastrack Day (In General)

The first thing that comes to mind when I think back to yesterday's Fastrack Day is how much talent South Africa has.

Last night, the much anticipated Jo'burg Fashion Week kicked off at Fashion Kapitol in the Jo'burg CBD. The first show was named 'Fastrack' and the reasoning behind that name is that it was to fast-track the careers of many up and coming designers and its main focus was on what we call "new generation" designers from various universities such as University of Johannesburg, Tshwane University Of Technology, Lisof to name but a few.

Bonang Matheba, was the hostess with the mostess.

I will have the runway report on the actual show tomorrow. Other than the main designers showing, there was Foschini, Ama Kip Kip and  Vandal Wear.

The graffiti art on first pic above is an exact depiction of the rich art that was at Fashion Kapitol. There were all sorts of fashionistas and I must say, I find fashion students to be the most stylish people (in terms of originality).

Trend Alert: The color blue!

Elias, a designer. Next year will be his turn to show off his designs at Fashion Week. *Strusbob*

My friend Kat - soo much swag ;-)
