Masai Warriors Inspire Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Of late, Africa has proved beyond reasonable doubt, that it is The World's Fashion Capital (think about it). With so many overseas designers either drawing inspiration or getting material from Africa, it is clear that we have something special going in as far as fashion is concerned.

None of the designers who draw inspiration from Africa are as prominent and as well acclaimed as Louis Vuitton who used the Masai Plaid in their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Louis Vuitton's new men's studio and style director, Kim Jones delivered the following designs for the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection.

I wish that, as Africans we could realize and use, for fashion and to our own benefit, the beauty that surrounds us instead of waiting for "validation" from some overseas designers and on that same breath, bravo to Louis Vuitton for such a stunning safari collection.

  1. I don't even tink that they drew inspiratin. They took their scarves you know. So, they mixed it with jeans and canvas shorts. i'M NOT SURE ABOUT INSPIRATION
