A moment of silence is needed.

So on Saturday Soweto was the other place to be (other than the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week finale, of course). We had waited and waited for Usher and d-day finally arrived. There was rain and it was cold but dzaaaaaaayuuuum did Usher give it his all, he made it all worth it. His soul was in it and for me that was the best concert I have ever been to. Thank you so very much Mr. Raymond.

Usher then called this other girl to stage, read about it here. That girl is very, very lucky, might I add. They were properly bumping and grinding, you should have heard the screams. ...*fans self* LOL!!

My friend Ndume was celebrating her 22nd birthday on Saturday as well so it was a big ball of excitement for us.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week - Jo'burg

It's finally here, one of the most sought after events for any fashionista; the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week - Jo'burg Autumn/Winter collections! As we eagerly await the 25 designers, 20 shows over 4 days, I am beside myself with joy and am specifically looking forward to Fastrack day!! 
  

African Fashion International (AFI) teamed up with Mercedes Benz South Africa together with Hyde Park Corner to bring this year's internationally competitive Jo'burg fashion week. African Fashion International (AFI) Executive Chairperson Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe was quoted saying: "Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg, brought to you by AFI, showcases South Africa’s established and emerging designers, offering a platform of visibility, relevance and access to the market.” I couldn't agree more.

As was with the last fashion week last year(spring/summer collections), this year's AFI fashion week will kick-start with Fastrack day which basically show-cases young and up-coming designers. This concept started last year and Foschini is once again partnering with AFI on this one.

Golden Globes 2012 - Who Wore What

So late on Sunday night I was watching the Golden Globes on Twitter, yeah its possible! Anyway, hers are some of the outfits from this year's Golden Globes Awards.


All hail the Queen....*bows down to her greatness*, my word! Angelina Jolie has never looked better!! She was flawlessly beautiful in this cream Altlier Versace gown. She and he man are such a power couple though! *sigh*.

When I saw Sofia Vergara in this lovely, lovely Vera Wang foam fitting mermaid-ey gown I was swooning. Wow!!

Salma Hayek makes me wish I had all the right curves in all the right places. She looked like a goddess in this metallic Gucci gown.

Kate Bekinsale looked whimsical in this cream Cavalli...oooh lovely!!

Oh my... Tilda Swinton, I have but three words for this: fierce! fiercer! fiercest!!

OK, I'll admit, there's nothing particularly breath-taking about Heidi Klum's gown but she looked simple and elegant, in a way that only she can pull off, using her supermodel powers of course!

Paula Parton stood out in this lovely mermaid yellow number. The color really does wonders for her.

Ever so simple, ever for elegant; Kate Winslet always does it for me.

Mmm, aaaii I'm not sure about this look on Kelly Osbourne. I'm just on the fence.

Does Viola Davis have ANY friends? The slit, the color...aarrg never mind.

Wedding Blues

So this past weekend, a dear friend of mine Liza Lopes was getting married to her knight in shining armor Kagiso Modupe; such a young happy couple, I wish them all the happiness in this world! I don't remember being to a more romantic wedding, I want the same for myself! Anyhoo, I wanna share what I wore at the wedding with you guys:

I wore a very simple dress that I got made for me in Swaziland. Simplicity really is timeless, I love my dress. I paired it with cream shoes, a cute fascinator hat which my sister wore at her wedding and a cream bag which I cant remember where I bought, but it was quite a find! The next time I wear this dress, I'll take out my color-blocking creative juices.

'The Help' Wardrobe

I recently (I have a feeling this is VERY delayed but anyhooo) saw the movie "The Help" and what immediately caught my eye was the wardrobe. Almost throughout the movie, the ladies look uber chic in dresses and wait for it.... kitten heels (I love me some kitten heels u guys, dont judge lol). Have a look at some of the outfits, maybe you will be as inspired as I was.

Doesn't the wardrobe inspire some classy lady in you? Doesn't it just make you want to embrace being a lady? Dresses and all? I looooove!!!!

My Style & 'Thin-spiration' For This Year

This year I am all but style, elegance, opulence and even more fashion. The one person that comes to mind when I think of all these amazing things is... Jeannie Mai !!

You might know her from The Style Network's "How Do I Look" show. This lady though...she is just awesome through and through! She never puts a fashion foot wrong and has balls and balls of energy, I simply love her,words fail me actually, oh and she is my 'thin-spiration' too. Check out her outfits:

A very happy new year to you and yours. I do hope this will be an awesome year for all of us.I remember last year I had a whole lot of resolutions, most of which were achieved *proud of myself* but this year they are a tad personal and will therefore not be putting them here.

What I want more than anything in the whole world this year is love and success, dear universe! Love for my family & friends, love for my job, love for my business, to be *IN* love, love and more love!!! I think the success will follow where there is love.

I am such a sucker for love..mmmm. What are u hoping for this year?
