Fashion Follow Friday

This week's Fashion Follow Friday goes to....YOUR HEART...

.........not the literal muscle that transports blood through-out our bodies, u silly lol :-) but your dreams, aspirations, desires and all your sources of happiness.

Follow your heart for it will lead you to loads of amazing treasures and there isn't a thing as liberating as doing exactly what your heart desires (within reason of course).

I believe our hearts play a certain kind of music that only us can listen to and comprehend. Its up to you to act on that music...and this post is to encourage you to listen to and act on THAT particular music your heart plays to you.

My music is Fashion....Education; all forms of learning and discovering new things (I have an eager mind), photography and its high time I also followed my heart.

"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures" - Thornton Wilder

Follow your dreams......follow your hearts.
Love: NKS.!

PS: This is NOT a cheesy post.....think about it.

Who Wore What At The Channel O Music Video Awards

Last Thursday I attended a very well-organized ( though some may choose to differ) event. The set-up of the awards was great and the theme was aviation inspired...we had good looking pilots (Lungile Radu *yum*) and lots of sexy air-hostesses hosting the awards.

The hosts: left - Lungile Radu and So You Think You Are Funny  presenter and 'A place called home' actor-Thomas Gumede.

Here are red-carpet pics of our favorite celebs;

Thembi Seete in a Gert-Johan Coatzee Design.

Black Coffee and his first lady Enhle..Mbali. Is she pregnant?

DJ Zinhle looking good in red. I still feel she should have shaved her legs...#MyOpinion

Left:  Make-up artist Nthato Mashishi and On the right: Gert-Johan Coatzee of GJC Couture

Uyanda Mbuli...I swear this lady NEVER puts her stylish foot wrong.

Penny Lebyane : That skirt, words fail me.! Tjooo

My favorite Guy of all time: Pro (he got rid of the kid..LOL) He got an award for Most Gifted Video Southern Africa and when he received it he said "I didn't prepare a speech coz I'm famous for not winning." LOL *dzeath*

All in all the event was amazing and short and sweet. Pity I couldn't attend the after-party.

Next on my calender are the Metro FM Music Awards in Nelspruit on the 27th of November.....I hope Mbombela is ready for me and my friends. *whoop whoop*

Fashion Follow Friday

Fashion Follow Friday is new to this blog. The rules of Fashion Follow Friday are fairly simple...we pick a local celebrity (male or female) and we basically just Follow their style every Friday...thus Fashion Follow Friday...simple.!

Our debut Fashion Follow Friday celebrity is none other than....*drumroll* Uyanda Mbuli. This woman's fashion sense needs no introduction at all, she is the epitome of the words 'Style Icon'.  For those who may not know her, (now I'm wondering which rock you have been leaving under.....yes I'm judging you.!) here is what you need to know.

1. She is a South African Style Icon (In case I haven't mentioned it *chuckle*)
2. She is the owner of Diamond Face Couture, widely known as "DFC"
3. She is a FULL-TIME public servant in the Gauteng Government as the Head of Communications for the Department of Economic Developmen, she has a B.Com degree from the University of the Western Cape: a Diploma in Sales and Marketing and a Certificate in Project Management from RAU (WOW, gotta RESPECT her)
4.  She is now an Ambassador of International cosmetic label "La Mer" and has a social diary on the South African PEOPLE magazine called "The Fabulous Circle".....how fabulous :-)
5. She is a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, inspiration to a LOT of young women ( myself included) and we just love her so much.

Even though her style (and hair colour) has evolved over the years, one thing has remained: Uyanda has always been a woman of style.

Uyanda was wearing Tutus and figure belts long before some of us were even aware of what style was. She is a trend - setter of note.

With her husband.

This pic just sums (in a nutshell) everything she is...and more.

Keep up the great work Uyanda, u are a great inspiration to many people and we love your ever so dearly.
