Durban July 2011 - Fashion Review

They flew and drove to Durban, they got dressed up, they partied, now let's review the fashion! For those who may not be aware, this past weekend was the Durban July weekend, check out this post for the theme.

The "Most Striking Couple" winners. Love how they stuck to the theme and still managed to make it uber fashionable.

Queen of style herself, Uyanda Mbuli. I love how she went for Royal blue to honour the theme but feel had this dress been somehow 'body hugging' we would have had a home-run. She still looked amazing and ever graceful nonetheless.

Man oh man, Siyabonga Ngwekazi....this guy is the future of Mzansi style. He tweeted about Pharrel's GQ cover and guess what? It seems he drew his Durban July inspiration from there. Very much on point Siya, we like!

Fashion designer Thula Sindi and 'da twins' Hlelo and Ntando Masina. Thula designed the twins' ensembles and he did a stella job! Just not too sure about Hlelo's "polka-dot-and-animal-print-mixology."

David Tlale in one of his usual creative outfits with Expresso's Liezel in a "dress" made by Craig Jacobs.

Loyiso & Phelo Bala. I love Phelo's laid-back-rockstar look. Jeannie D looked stunning as well.

Can you spell "Regal" and "Laid Back" at the same time? That is what this pictures of Kuli Chana says. He nailed it..to the "T"! Clean and freshe!

FHM's World Sexiest woman , Sashi Naidoo looking hot in a err, hot mess. She would totally make even a refuse bag look sexy though.

One of the women I admire ever so much, Gerry Elsdon looking uncomfortably tight in an angelic white dress.

The ever stylish Dj Sbu, looked very good.

Are fluffy dresses still in vogue? Disappointed by the usually fashion forward Noni Gasa and is that a pencil case she is carrying?

SOMGAGA! Somizi Mhlongo, looked stunning and regal. I like how he went all out, check out his manicure, tres chic!

My personal favourite. Jozi fashionista, Melody looked absolutely devine.

And then there were these people, bleh.

Mzansi Insider's Phila Mazibuko in what looks like an attempted Scottish attire together with Selimathunzi's Lunga in an ill fitting suit. Also, is Zuluboy who might have looked good had he not worn those jeans and Thapelo Mokoena in a heavily mix matched outfit.

The less said, the better!
