CLEO Magazine June Issue - The Bloggers Issue

About a month ago CLEO Magazine approached myself (The Kokonut Stylist) and 5 other South African fashion bloggers for their June 2011 Issue, themed: The Bloggers Issue. Basically we were interviewed on our fashion trends for winter. It is a MUST buy, very interesting with lots of winter style ideas.

I am still trying to contain my excitement as I am on an ENTIRE page of a magazine *calls mom*. As a blogger, such exposure and recognition is uber cool and very humbling. Thank you CLEO.

I love how they put my Icon (Coco Chanel) on my page- PERFECTION!

Famous People's Clothing Closets

I am pretty sure every lady's clothing dream is to have a walk-in closet filled with awesome threads and amazing shoes. Here are some famous people's walk-in closets.

1. Kimora Lee Simmons H's walk-in closet. Too fab.! (Did I mention that she follows me on Twitter? Well, now you know *shameless plug*)

2. Mariah Carey's closet is like a dream. Its like a high-end Chanel shop.

3. Christina Arguilera's pink touch makes her closet a girly heaven.

4. Kim Catrall's is a tad depressing, guess I expected more from a "Sex And The City" actress.

5. Eva Longoria's closet. How lovely is that Louis Vuitton President Classeur briefcase ?!

6. Jessica Alba's shoe closet, where are them red soles? O_O

7. Paris Hilton's sparkly closet looks absolutely amazing, I like!

8. And her sister Nicky's closet...very neat.

9.Fergie's "Fergieland" as she calls her closet.

10. Khloe and Lamar's  shoe closets. It seems Khloe only wears Christian Louboutin shoes. *death by my envy*

11. Lastly, Miley Cyrus' closet, too cute!

This motivates me to work even harder and make lotsa money to afford such luxury.

Random Wishlist

Actually, this is not so random. You see, my 25th birthday is coming up in something like three months from now (August 18) and to sort of give my friends a head-start on my birthday gifts, I prepared this list, in order of importance and preference *cough cough, please don't shoot me*. So here goes:

1. *Clears throat* A pair of Christian Louboutin Daffodil stilettos, I'm not choosy so any color will do. Budget: 945.96 British Pounds (yeah, you do the Math):

2. A Cannon EOS 550D digital camera. For only R6,085.00 :

3. My own nude art and by own I mean the artist has to do the painting of my naked body. I'm not quite sure what the going rate is for artists these day, maybe you may spare about R5,200.00 because I'd like to have it framed in a gold frame:

4. A pair...or two of Ray Ban sunglasses. To be save I'd say have just over R2,500.00:

5. Lastly, a date with the 'inkers' for my second tattoo (a 20 cm long Hebrew translation of Philippian 4:13), that should cost only R900.00

And that will be all dear lovely friends. Thanking you in advance for the love and appreciation through these gifts (lol).

The Royal Wedding - A Fairytale Indeed

On Friday the 29th of April 2011, the world practically came to a standstill as we witnessed the fairytale wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. This was held at Westminster Abbey and the notorious UK weather behaved. Kate is one lucky girl, no doubt. Here are some pictures from the wedding:

The Prince William and Prince Harry arriving at the Chapel where the wedding was held.
How gangster is Harry's walk?

Thee most awaited wedding gown! Kate's wedding gown was designed by the talented Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. It was absolutely D.I.V.I.N.E!

We are family! The Royal Family pose for a photo after the wedding.

Theeeee Kiss...what a lucky girl *sigh*

The official wedding cake, apparently they used 17 individually baked cakes. WOW!!

With it being a royal wedding and all, this meant it was highly exclusive and only the cream de la cream of the world scored invites. Here's a sneak-peak of how the invite looked like.
Imagine if you had received one of these?

And now, for the Invited cream de la cream of the world....and what they wore ;-)

Naturally, I will start with His Royal Highness, King Mswati of the Kingdom of Swaziland.

The Beckhams. Posh is my inspiration, if I ever fall pregnant I wanna look as fab and chic as she does. Those Chistian Louboutins *sigh*

Her name is Tara and she looked absolutely ravishing, definitely the best dressed for me.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, they look somewhat like the evil step-sisters - my opinion!

UK comedian, Mr. Bean was also honored with an invite.

These two could easily pass for Queen and King, they look so regal.

I wish the bride and groom all the happiness in the world, theirs was thee most stunning wedding on earth. Did you also enjoy watching it or were you one of the people who thought "why the big fuss?" ? Being a romantic at heart, I loved EVERY moment of it.
